Real Life Superheroes
Posted by Regan Clute, Lead Volunteer Coordinator
As a hospice lead volunteer coordinator, I have the privilege of working with amazing people who do amazing things every day. These real life superheroes spend countless hours with our staff, patients and families, making a real difference in the final moments of someone’s life. Their super power is their ability to transform lives through compassionate care.
Volunteers can serve in several different capacities, and JourneyCare really does have a role for everyone.
- If you want to visit with our patients and families at one of our hospice CareCenters, or perhaps use your skills to provide hands-on care, we have a place for you.
- If you are a more behind-the-scenes volunteer, we have five office locations where you can support our staff.
- We have pet, massage and art therapy volunteers that use their specialized skills and fury friends to enrich the lives of patients.
With over 50 volunteer opportunities, it's easy to find a meaningful experience that will allow you to help those we serve. View our many options here.
You can also find a schedule of our upcoming New Volunteer Orientations, where you'll have an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of a panel of current volunteers. Regardless of where you attend an orientation, you can volunteer wherever you'd like.
If you're interested in being a (superhero) volunteer with JourneyCare, and sharing your skills and talents with our staff, patients and families, please sign up today!
