Betsy Haraf works at Midwest CareCenter as an administrative assistant, and volunteers at Midwest CareCenter's hospice suite at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Betsy graduated with BS in Health Information Management and worked several years before deciding to be a stay at home mom with her three daughters - while volunteering for her church and the girls' school, and caring for her aging parents. She learned of hospice when her father was dying. Her mother was admitted to Midwest CareCenter's Marshak Hospice Pavilion a year later. "Because of the incredible care and support my mother received as she was dying, I decided to put my volunteering efforts into supporting Midwest CareCenter," Betsy says. "I was so impressed with the way Midwest CareCenter was able to help my mother die with dignity, surrounded by so much love and compassion. I'm thrilled to be giving back as a volunteer and staff member to an organization that has had such a positive impact on my family."
