Diane Soucy Bergan

Diane Soucy Bergan was named to the newly created position of Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer for JourneyCare in September 2015. She leads all aspects of marketing, communications and public affairs strategies to promote the programs, services and mission for the region’s premier provider of palliative, supportive and end-of-life care. 

Diane formerly served as Senior Vice President of Communications and Head of Regulatory Communications for HSBC USA. Previously, she held roles with United Airlines, including Director of Customer Relations and Director of Government & Public Affairs.

Diane earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from American University in Washington, D.C. and attended the International Asian Studies Program at Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also completed Executive Programs in Strategy and Finance through the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. She is a coach for the INCubatoredu entrepreneurship program at Barrington High School, active in other education activities and volunteers with Citizens for Conservation.

Jennie Anderson-Nowak

Jennie Anderson-Nowak, RN, CHPN, WCC, OMS, has been in healthcare for 17 years. “I started as a CNA and worked my way up from there into nursing,” she says. “I have been a hospice nurse for the last 5 years and my career will remain with hospice. It is my calling.”

Dina Ewing-Morgan

Dina Ewing-Morgan has always had a passion for helping people and making a difference. Dina graduated from Elmhurst College with degrees in nursing and psychology, and is a licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.

Understanding the value of making a difference in the community, she devotes her time to several charities. Dina is also a founding board member and Director of Development of 
Mane in Heaven ― the all-volunteer staff and the adorable "minis" visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, libraries and other organizations. She is an active in member in CWIP Chicago Women in Philanthropy, and has recently taken the lead in the McHenry County Nonprofit Networking Group. She hopes that she can continue to make a difference to those in need.

Rachael Telleen

Rachael Telleen is JourneyCare’s Advance Care Planning Advocate and she has spent nearly a decade working for hospice and advance care planning agencies. In her personal time, she serves as the Women’s Auxiliary Treasurer for Hephzibah Children’s Association and as a shelter volunteer for West Suburban PADS.

Debra Mell

After a 10 year hiatus as a stay-at-home mom, Debra returned to the workforce when she joined the organization in 2013. In her former professional life, she managed the U.S. office for a British manufacturing company, started her own cleaning business, ran a showroom at the Merchandise Mart and practiced law. As a volunteer, she served as an officer for a number of non-profit organizations. In her spare time, Debra enjoys decorating, event planning, gardening, singing and performing in local theatre productions.

Rosemary Morris

Rosemary Morris founded Wellness Runs Deep LLC in 2010. Through wellness coaching, community programs and USANA Health Sciences as product partner, she has built a dynamic team of creative and compassionate people who are called to achieve optimal health and wellness for themselves and others. She is an avid gardener, fitness enthusiast and lover of nature. She lives in the Chicago area and has a wonderful husband of 33 years and has three creative adult sons, and a beautiful daughter-in-law! Like on Facebook and Follow on Twitter.

Julie Linnekin

Julie has been a Barrington resident for the past fifteen years and is an active member of her community. Aside from her responsibilities as the Community Events Specialist at JourneyCare, she also leads the Youth Advisory Board, is a member of the Barrington Noon Rotary, and continues her Event Photography business on the side. She is a mother of three kids; the last heading off to college in the fall.

Nicole Perry, LCSW, ACHP-SW

Nicole Perry manages and coordinates care for patients and families in northwest suburbs, overseeing a team of 15 nurses, C.N.As, social workers and chaplains.

Nicole joined JourneyCare in 2011 and has worked in the Pepper Family Hospice CareCenter, in the All About Kids pediatric care program and with several adult field teams. She has been a hospice field team manager for the past three years. In 2013, Nicole was honored with JourneyCare’s Award for Quality, Care and Innovation, which annually recognized both a clinical and non-clinical employee whose work ethic and ability to create and implement meaningful programs that directly impacted quality of care.

Previously, Nicole was a social worker with Presbyterian Homes, where she created a program to address end-of-life care for nursing home patients and their families, while providing increased staff education and support on end-of-life care needs.

An active speaker at professional conferences, Nicole recently presented “Social Workers as Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Care” and co-presented “Don’t Change the Wine Back to Water...Can We Bring Back the Good Ole Days of End of Life Care?” at the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network (SWHPN) General Assembly in Chicago. She has also presented at the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) State Conference and at IL-HPCO’s Annual Conference.

Nicole earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Bradley University.

Linda Clark

Linda Clark is a Connecticut native who now lives in Barrington with family. Her additional volunteer experience includes pre-nursing volunteer work at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut, Planned Parenthood and DuPage County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). She also served as a troop leader for both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.

Eric Miller, JourneyCare Senior Director of Service Excellence

Eric Miller joined JourneyCare last December as Senior Director of Service Excellence.

Eric’s diverse career path has included leading a customer service marketing team for a major cellular company, founding a marketing communications agency and working in business development.

A self-professed farm boy from Michigan who found his way to Chicago after graduating from Alma College (MI), he met his wife, Sandra, within a month of moving to Lincoln Park, while attending an Arlo Guthrie concert at Ravinia. They have three sons: Jake, 21 and Johnny, 19, both students at DePauw University; and Eli, 15, a freshman at Loyola Academy. Sandra is part of the development team at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. The Millers have lived in Evanston for 27 years.
